The Eastland Cougars basketball team scored 47 points and limited the visiting Fieldcrest Knights to 43 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cougars now possess a 10-2 record. They play next when they travel to Forreston for a non-league game on Saturday, January 4.

With the loss, Fieldcrest falls to 10-2 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Fisher (Fisher, IL) to confront the Bunnies in a Heart of Illinois game on Tuesday, January 7. The Bunnies go into the game with a record of 6-5.
