In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Elkhart Lions basketball team scored a close 55-54 triumph over the Fort Wayne North Side Legends.
The Lions (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Laporte (Laporte, MN). The Wildcats go into the non-league contest with a 3-7 record.
In their next game, the Legends confront the Purdue Polytechnic Techies (Indianapolis, IN) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 2. Fort Wayne North Side will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Techies go into the contest with a 6-3 record after their 59-53 non-league win over Christian Academy (New Albany, IN).
