The Emerson Pirates basketball team scored 66 points and limited the visiting Gurdon Go-Devils to 39 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Pirates now have a 7-10 record. They play next when they travel to Hermitage for a 1A Region 8 game on Tuesday, January 7. Emerson will confront a Hermits team coming off a 55-38 non-league win over Smackover (Smackover, AR). The Hermits record now stands at 3-13.

With the loss, Gurdon falls to 0-11 on the campaign. The Go-devils travel to Poyen (Poyen, AR) to confront the Indians in a 2A Region 8 game on Friday, January 10. The Indians go into the game with a record of 10-4.
