In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Richfield Spartans basketball team scored a big 83-54 win over the Fargo South Bruins.

The Spartans (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against DeLaSalle (Minneapolis, MN). The Islanders come into the non-league contest with a 7-1 record. In their last contest, DeLaSalle smashed Maple Grove (Maple Grove, MN), 79-74, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bruins battle the Red River Roughriders (Grand Forks, ND) in a AA East contest, on Friday, January 3. Fargo South will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record.
