The Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC) basketball were winner over the host Towns County Indians (Hiawassee, GA), 67-59 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Panthers now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Union County for a non-league bout on Monday, December 30. Franklin will play a Panthers team coming off a 83-62 non-league win over Rabun County (Tiger, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 10-2.

With the loss, Towns County falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Indians host Rabun County (Tiger, GA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Monday, December 30. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 11-3. Rabun County lost 83-62 in their recent non-league bout against Union County (Blairsville, GA)
