Next, the Eagles encounter the Elgin Wildcats (Elgin, TX) in a 5A Region III District 23 test, on Tuesday, December 31. Georgetown will attempt to improve on its 15-8 season record. The Wildcats come into the test with a 10-6 record after their 59-42 non-league win over Hyde Park (Austin, TX).

The Falcons (18-2) will now prepare for their test against Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX). The Hawks come into the 4A Region III District 19 test with a 8-10 record. In their last test, Hardin-Jefferson beat Liberty (Liberty, TX), 52-50, in a league test.
