Hammond Morton Governors (Hammond, IN) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL), 65-61 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Hammond Morton upgrades its record to 2-6 on the year. The Governors travel to Thornton (Harvey, IL) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Sunday, December 29. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 3-8. Thornton lost 46-45 in their recent non-league match against Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL)

The Thunderbirds now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thornton Fractional South for a non-league match on Sunday, December 29. Thornwood will face a Red Wolves squad coming off a 46-45 non-league win over Thornton (Harvey, IL). The Red Wolves record now stands at 7-6.
