In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights basketball team scored a good 73-54 win over the Hancock Owls.
The Knights (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Hills-Beaver Creek (Hills, MN). The Patriots come into the A Section 3 contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Hills-Beaver Creek defeated Minneota (Minneota, MN), 76-54, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Owls battle the Battle Lake Battlers (Battle Lake, MN) in a A Section 6 contest, on Thursday, January 2. Hancock will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Battlers come into the contest with a 0-7 record after their 56-44 league loss to Ashby (Ashby, MN).
