Illinois High School Basketball - Herscher bests Momence

December 28, 2024: Herscher, IL 60941

The Herscher Tigers basketball team scored 50 points and limited the visiting Momence Momence Athletics to 37 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Tigers now possess a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Seneca for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. Herscher will confront a Fighting Irish team coming off a 52-44 non-league loss to Lexington (Lexington, IL). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 12-3.

With the loss, Momence falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Momence athletics travel to Gardner-South Wilmington (Gardner, IL) to confront the Panthers in a River Valley game on Tuesday, January 7. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 1-14. Gardner-South Wilmington lost 42-37 in their recent non-league game against Lisle (Lisle, IL)
