Minnesota High School Basketball - Mountain Iron-Buhl thwarts Hillcrest Lutheran Academy

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mountain Iron-Buhl Rangers (Mountain Iron, MN) and the visiting Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comets (Fergus Falls, MN), observed Mountain Iron-Buhl's basketball team knock off Hillcrest Lutheran Academy by a score of 49-39.

The Rangers (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Chisholm (Chisholm, MN). The Bluestreaks come into the A Section 7 challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Chisholm was knocked off by Nashwauk-Keewatin (Nashwauk, MN), 63-55, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Comets encounter the Ashby Arrows (Ashby, MN) in a A Section 6 challenge, on Thursday, January 2. Hillcrest Lutheran Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Arrows come into the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 56-44 league win over Battle Lake (Battle Lake, MN).
