The John F. Kennedy Rockets basketball team scored 63 points and limited the host Lockhart Lions to 55 in the Rockets non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Rockets now possess a 9-13 record. They play next when they travel to Young Men's Leadership Academy for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7.

With the loss, Lockhart falls to 16-7 on the campaign. The Lions host Cedar Park (Cedar Park, TX) to confront the Timberwolves in a 5A Region IV District 25 game on Friday, January 3. The Timberwolves go into the game with a record of 9-12. Cedar Park won 60-45 in their recent non-league game against Hyde Park (Austin, TX)
