Texas High School Basketball - The Colony nips Lake Highlands

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host The Colony Cougars basketball team scored a close 56-53 win over the Lake Highlands Wildcats.
The Cougars (14-8) will now prepare for their contest against Highland Park (Dallas, TX). The Scots come into the 5A Region II District 12 contest with a 14-4 record. In their last contest, Highland Park edged Turner (Carrollton, TX), 98-55, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Nimitz Vikings (Irving, TX) in a 6A Region I District 7 contest, on Friday, January 3. Lake Highlands will attempt to better on its 16-6 season record. The Vikings come into the contest with a 5-9 record after their 48-45 league win over Irving (Irving, TX).
