In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Lake View Chiefs basketball team scored a close 42-37 win over the Plainview Bulldogs.

The Chiefs (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Odessa (Odessa, TX). The Bronchos come into the non-league contest with a 8-11 record. In their last contest, Odessa edged Cathedral (El Paso, TX), 54-29, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Caprock Longhorns (Amarillo, TX) in a 5A Region I District 3 contest, on Tuesday, December 31. Plainview will attempt to better on its 10-5 season record. The Longhorns come into the contest with a 3-14 record after their 70-61 non-league loss to Hereford (Hereford, TX).
