North Carolina High School Basketball - Lexington toppled by Oak Grove

December 28, 2024: Lexington, NC 27292

Oak Grove Grizzlies (Winston-Salem, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Lexington Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC), 81-67 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Oak Grove upgrades its record to 7-3 on the year. The Grizzlies travel to Asheboro (Asheboro, NC) to face the Blue Comets in a 3A Mid-Piedmont match on Tuesday, January 7. The Blue Comets enter the match with a record of 9-2.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Davidson for a 1A/2A Central Carolina match on Friday, January 3. Lexington will face a Dragons squad coming off a 52-42 non-league loss to East Davidson (Thomasville, NC). The Dragons record now stands at 1-12.
