Illinois High School Basketball - Lexington thwarts Seneca

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL) and the host Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL), observed Lexington's basketball team knock off Seneca by a score of 52-44.

The Minutemen (12-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Rochester (Rochester, IL). The Rockets come into the non-league challenge with a 7-3 record. In their last challenge, Rochester prevailed over Marion (Marion, IL), 56-52, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Fighting Irish encounter the Herscher Tigers (Herscher, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Seneca will attempt to improve on its 12-3 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 50-37 non-league win over Momence (Momence, IL).
