Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Luella toppled by Montour

Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Luella Lions (Luella, GA), 58-44 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Montour advances its record to 7-1 on the year. The Spartans host Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, TN) to face the Indians in a non-league match on Monday, December 30. The Indians enter the match with a record of 13-3. Dobyns-Bennett won 75-72 in their recent non-league match against Palmetto (Palmetto, FL)

The Lions now own a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mt. Zion for a AAA Region 5 match on Tuesday, January 7.
