The Oak Grove Warriors (Hattiesburg, MS) basketball edged the visiting Natchez Bulldogs (Natchez, MS), 53-51 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Warriors now possess a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Petal for a 7A Region 3 bout on Friday, January 3. Oak Grove will play a Panthers team coming off a 57-54 non-league win over Columbia (Columbia, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 7-12.
With the loss, Natchez falls to 11-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Florence (Florence, MS) to play the Eagles in a 5A Region 3 bout on Friday, January 3. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Florence lost 76-64 in their recent non-league bout against Morton (Morton, MS)
