The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) and the host Pigeon Forge Tigers (Pigeon Forge, TN), observed R-S Central's basketball team edge Pigeon Forge by a margin of 61-57.

The Hilltoppers (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Asheville (Asheville, NC). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 1-8 record. In their last challenge, Asheville was tipped by Mountain View Prep (Spartanburg, SC), 68-61, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Gibbs Eagles (Corryton, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Pigeon Forge will attempt to better on its 9-5 season record.
