Tennessee High School Basketball - Pinson Valley bested by Southwind

Southwind Jaguars (Memphis, TN) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Pinson Valley Indians (Pinson, AL), 54-42 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Southwind advances its record to 10-4 on the year. The Jaguars host Arlington (Arlington, TN) to face the Tigers in a 4A District 15 match on Tuesday, January 7. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 9-2. Arlington won 46-43 in their recent non-league match against Winter Park (Winter Park, FL)

The Indians now own a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clay-Chalkville for a 6A Area 12 match on Friday, January 3. Pinson Valley will face a Cougars squad coming off a 66-37 non-league win over Hillcrest (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Cougars record now stands at 15-6.
