    • Connecticut High School Basketball - Pomperaug overwhelmed by Staples

    In Saturday's non-league test, the Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT) basketball squad trounced the host Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT), by a score of 82-41.

    Next, the Wreckers clash with the New Canaan Rams (New Canaan, CT) in a Fairfield County test, on Friday, January 3. Staples will attempt to improve on its 4-0 season record.

    The Panthers (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Amity Regional (Woodbridge, CT). The Spartans come into the non-league test with a 3-0 record. In their last test, Amity Regional bounced Branford (Branford, CT), 84-75, in a non-league test.
