The Somerset Academy Losee Lions basketball team scored 72 points and limited the host Sunrise Mountain Miners to 20 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now have a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Cesar Chavez for a non-league game on Thursday, January 2. Somerset Academy Losee will confront a Champions team coming off a 52-49 non-league win over Gilbert (Gilbert, AZ). The Champions record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Sunrise Mountain falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Miners host Valley (Las Vegas, NV) to confront the Vikings in a 4A Mountain game on Monday, January 6. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 2-6. Valley lost 72-68 in their recent non-league game against The Meadows School (Las Vegas, NV)
