Illinois High School Basketball - Thornton can't hold off Thornton Fractional South

Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves (Lansing, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL), 46-45 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Thornton Fractional South upgrades its record to 7-6 on the year. The Red Wolves travel to Thornwood (South Holland, IL) to face the Thunderbirds in a non-league match on Sunday, December 29. The Thunderbirds enter the match with a record of 5-8. Thornwood lost 65-61 in their recent non-league match against Hammond Morton (Hammond, IN)

The Wildcats now sport a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hammond Morton for a non-league match on Sunday, December 29. Thornton will face a Governors squad coming off a 66-43 non-league loss to Hillcrest (Country Club Hills, IL). The Governors record now stands at 1-6.
