The West Brunswick Trojans basketball squad (Shallotte, NC), was crushed 71-35 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host West Bladen Knights (Bladenboro, NC)

With the victory, West Bladen advances its record to 10-1 on the year. The Knights host South Columbus (Tabor City, NC) to meet the Stallions in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 2. The Stallions enter the battle with a record of 8-2. South Columbus won 58-47 in their recent league battle against Pender (Burgaw, NC)

The Trojans now own a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Brunswick for a 3A/4A Mideastern battle on Friday, January 3. West Brunswick will meet a Scorpions squad coming off a 78-76 non-league loss to Queen City Prep (Charlotte, NC). The Scorpions record now stands at 4-6.
