Nebraska High School Basketball - Axtell defeats Heartland Lutheran

The Axtell Wildcats (Axtell, NE) basketball were winner over the visiting Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets (Grand Island, NE), 38-29 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Wildcats now possess a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to Kenesaw for a non-league bout on Friday, January 3. Axtell will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 42-30 non-league loss to Wilcox-Hildreth (Wilcox, NE). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Heartland Lutheran falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Red hornets travel to Ansley/Litchfield (Ansley, NE) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Friday, January 3. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 3-4.
