The Benton Central Bison (Oxford, IN) basketball edged the visiting Salt Fork Storm (Sidell, IL), 45-41 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Bison now possess a 12-5 record. They play next when they host Faith Christian for a non-league bout on Friday, January 3. Benton Central will play a Eagles team coming off a 45-37 non-league loss to Twin Lakes (Monticello, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 6-6.
With the loss, Salt Fork falls to 16-1 on the campaign. The Storm host Georgetown-Ridge Farm (Georgetown, IL) to play the Buffaloes in a Vermilion Valley bout on Thursday, January 9. The Buffaloes go into the bout with a record of 8-5.
