The Blount Leopards basketball team scored 40 points and limited the host McDonogh 35 Roneagles to 12 in the Leopards non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Leopards now have a 12-5 record. They play next when they travel to Salmen for a non-league game on Saturday, December 28. Blount will confront a Spartans team coming off a 50-39 non-league loss to Pickering (Leesville, LA). The Spartans record now stands at 5-6.
With the loss, McDonogh 35 falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Roneagles host Landry (New Orleans, LA) to confront the Buccaneers in a non-league game on Thursday, January 9. The Buccaneers go into the game with a record of 4-4. Landry won 37-34 in their recent non-league game against New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy (New Orleans, LA)
