In Saturday's non-league test, the West Side Eagles (Greers Ferry, AR) basketball squad defeated the host Cabot Panthers (Cabot, AR), by a score of 60-51.

Next, the Eagles clash with the Norfork Panthers (Norfork, AR) in a 1A Region 2 test, on Tuesday, January 7. West Side will attempt to improve on its 22-3 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 8-8 record after their 68-40 non-league loss to Clinton (Clinton, AR).

The Panthers (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Jonesboro (Jonesboro, AR). The Hurricane come into the 6A Central test with a 3-9 record. In their last test, Jonesboro went down by Rolla (Rolla, MO), 61-33, in a non-league test.
