Next, the Spartans clash with the Seguin Cougars (Arlington, TX) in a 5A Region I District 8 outing, on Friday, January 3. Centennial will attempt to upgrade on its 10-13 season record. The Cougars enter the outing with a 6-10 record after their 51-36 league loss to Everman (Everman, TX).

The Cougars (1-22) will now prepare for their outing against Wylie (Abilene, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 5A Region I District 4 outing with a 19-5 record. In their last outing, Wylie routed Rock Hill (Frisco, TX), 41-35, in a non-league outing.
