In Saturday's non-league test, the River Valley Falcons (Yuba City, CA) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Center Cougars (Antelope, CA), by a score of 45-32.

Next, the Falcons encounter the Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) in a Foothill Valley test, on Friday, January 3. River Valley will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Miners come into the test with a 3-7 record after their 69-34 non-league loss to Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA).

The Cougars (1-13) will now prepare for their test against Cordova (Rancho Cordova, CA). The Lancers come into the non-league test with a 4-12 record. In their last test, Cordova was knocked off by Rio Americano (Sacramento, CA), 62-19, in a non-league test.
