The Hallettsville Brahmas basketball team scored 34 points and limited the visiting Edgewood Bulldogs to 22 in the Brahmas non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Brahmas now have a 6-12 record. They play next when they host Columbus for a 3A Region IV District 25 game on Tuesday, December 31. Hallettsville will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 45-40 non-league win over Shiner (Shiner, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Edgewood falls to 5-13 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Malakoff (Malakoff, TX) to confront the Tigers in a 3A Region II District 15 game on Tuesday, December 31. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 20-2. Malakoff won 53-36 in their recent non-league game against Clyde (Clyde, TX)
