The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA) and the visiting Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA), observed Granby's basketball team overwhelm Lakeland by a margin of 62-16.

The Comets (8-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Indian River (Chesapeake, VA). The Braves come into the non-league challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Indian River was trounced by Miller School of Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA), 57-40, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cavaliers battle the Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Friday, January 10. Lakeland will attempt to better on its 4-7 season record.
