Texas High School Basketball - LaPoynor knocks off Palestine

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host LaPoynor Flyers basketball team scored a good 54-44 win over the Palestine Wildcats.
The Flyers (15-8) will now prepare for their contest against Fruitvale (Fruitvale, TX). The Bobcats come into the 2A Region III District 19 contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Fruitvale was topped by Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX), 52-40, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Wills Point Tigers (Wills Point, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 31. Palestine will attempt to better on its 7-14 season record. The Tigers come into the contest with a 14-7 record after their 31-18 non-league loss to Temple (Temple, TX).
