California High School Basketball - River Valley holds off Kennedy

The River Valley Falcons basketball team scored 33 points and limited the visiting Kennedy Cougars to 29 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Falcons now possess a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Nevada Union for a game on Friday, January 3. River Valley will confront a Miners team coming off a 54-25 non-league loss to El Dorado (Placerville, CA). The Miners record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Kennedy falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to St. Francis (Sacramento, CA) to confront the Troubadours in a non-league game on Monday, December 30. The Troubadours go into the game with a record of 5-5. St. Francis lost 76-42 in their recent non-league game against Sheldon (Sacramento, CA)
