The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Billerica Memorial Indians (Billerica, MA) and the host Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI), witnessed Billerica Memorial's ice hockey team defeat Smithfield by a score of 8-6.

The Indians (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Wilmington (Wilmington, MA). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record.

In their next game, the Sentinels battle the Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) in a State Championship Division challenge, on Wednesday, January 1. Smithfield will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Bishop Guertin (Nashua, NH).
