The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Waseca Bluejays (Waseca, MN) and the host Crookston Pirates (Crookston, MN), witnessed Waseca's ice hockey team defeat Crookston by a score of 8-4.

The Bluejays (8-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Worthington (Worthington, MN). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, Worthington by Windom (Windom, MN), 4-1, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates battle the Thief River Falls Prowlers (Thief River Falls, MN) in a Greater Minnesota challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Crookston will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record.
