The Apex Cougars basketball squad (Apex, NC), was nudged 57-50 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC)
With the victory, Pinecrest advances its record to 7-4 on the year. The Patriots host Providence (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Panthers in a non-league battle on Friday, January 3. The Panthers enter the battle with a record of 1-6.
The Cougars now own a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Knightdale for a non-league battle on Friday, January 3. Apex will meet a Knights squad coming off a 47-39 non-league loss to East Wake (Wendell, NC). The Knights record now stands at 5-2.
