The Manteca Buffaloes basketball team scored 57 points and limited the visiting River Islands Riptide to 36 in the Buffaloes non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Buffaloes now possess a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Mountain House for a game on Thursday, January 2. Manteca will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 101-40 non-league win over Escalon (Escalon, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 10-2.

With the loss, River Islands falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Riptide travel to McNair (Stockton, CA) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Friday, January 3. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 5-7. McNair lost 73-54 in their recent non-league game against Venture Academy (Stockton, CA)
