Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Waseca Bluejays (Waseca, MN) and the visiting Lewiston-Altura Cardinals (Lewiston, MN), saw Waseca's basketball squad overcome Lewiston-Altura by a tally of 45-37.

With the victory, Waseca improves its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Bluejays host New Ulm (New Ulm, MN) to play the Eagles in a AAA Section 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 11. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 4-4.

Next up, the Cardinals play the Pine Island Panthers (Pine Island, MN) in a AA Section 1 challenge, on Thursday, December 30. Lewiston-Altura will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 78-50 league loss to Cotter/Hope Lutheran (Winona, MN).
