In their next game, the Trojans face the Schlarman Hilltoppers (Danville, IL) in a Vermilion Valley game, on Tuesday, January 3. Armstrong will attempt to move on its 4-8 season record. The Hilltoppers enter the game with a 3-7 record after their 63-46 league loss to Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin (Bismarck, IL).

With the defeat, Villa Grove moves to 5-8 on the year. The Blue devils travel to Heritage (Broadlands, IL) to face the Hawks in a non-league game on Thursday, December 29. The Hawks enter the game with a record of 3-9. Heritage lost 59-22 in their recent non-league game against Salt Fork (Sidell, IL)
