In Thursday's non-league outing, the Westfield Mustangs (Houston, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Channelview Falcons (Channelview, TX), by a count of 64-41.

The Mustangs (8-11) will now prepare for their outing against Eisenhower (Houston, TX). The Eagles go into the 6A Region II District 14 outing with a 5-12 record. In their last outing, Eisenhower was crushed by Port Arthur Memorial (Port Arthur, TX), 68-39, in a non-league outing.

The Falcons now hold a 8-10 record. They play next when they travel to Dobie for a 6A Region III District 22 outing on Tuesday, January 3. Channelview will clash with a Longhorns squad coming off a 72-39 league loss to Pasadena Memorial (Pasadena, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 9-11.
