The Charlestown Townies basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Greater New Bedford RVT Bears to 40 in the Townies non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Townies now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Boston English for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 4. Charlestown will battle a Eagles team coming off a 51-50 non-league loss to New Bedford (New Bedford, MA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.

The Bears (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Somerset Berkley Regional (Somerset, MA). The Raiders enter the South Coast contest with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Somerset Berkley Regional knocked off Diman RVT (Fall River, MA), 82-42, in a non-league match.
