In their next game, the Mavericks face the La Porte Bulldogs (La Porte, TX) in a 5A Region III District 18 game, on Friday, January 6. Manvel will attempt to move on its 10-7 season record.

With the defeat, Clear Creek moves to 10-12 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Clear Brook (Friendswood, TX) to face the Wolverines in a 6A Region III District 24 game on Tuesday, January 3. The Wolverines enter the game with a record of 10-12. Clear Brook won 61-42 in their recent non-league game against Naaman Forest (Garland, TX)
