The Wolfe County Wolves (Campton, KY) basketball nipped the host Cumberland County Panthers (Burkesville, KY), 83-79 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Wolves (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Lynn Camp (Corbin, KY). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, Lynn Camp was tipped by Bell County (Pineville, KY), 79-73, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to South Warren for a non-league test on Monday, January 2. Cumberland County will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 56-55 non-league win over Daviess County (Owensboro, KY). The Spartans record now stands at 8-1.
