Glendale Cardinals (Glendale, AZ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Skyline Coyotes (Mesa, AZ), 49-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Glendale upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Kofa (Yuma, AZ) to play the Kings in a 5A Central Valley bout on Friday, January 6. The Kings come into the bout with a record of 5-4.

Next up, the Coyotes play the Mountain View Toros (Mesa, AZ) in a 6A East Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Skyline will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Toros come into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 53-49 non-league loss to Chandler (Chandler, AZ).
