In Thursday's non-league outing, the Grace Christian School Kings (Mechanicsville, VA) basketball squad edged the host Mechanicsville Mustangs (Mechanicsville, VA), by a margin of 58-53.
The Kings (12-3) will now prepare for their outing against Walsingham Academy (Williamsburg, VA). The Trojans go into the non-league outing with a 7-5 record. In their last outing, Walsingham Academy was tipped by Eastern Mennonite (Harrisonburg, VA), 58-49, in a non-league outing.
The Mustangs now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Henrico for a Capital outing on Tuesday, January 3. Mechanicsville will clash with a Warriors squad coming off a 83-72 non-league loss to Matoaca (Chesterfield, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-6.
