The South Elgin Storm (South Elgin, IL) basketball nipped the host Grant Community Bulldogs (Fox Lake, IL), 56-53 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Storm (8-7) will now prepare for their test against Jacobs (Algonquin, IL). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league test with a 5-10 record. In their last test, Jacobs got by Johnsburg (Johnsburg, IL), 62-53, in a non-league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Antioch for a Northern Lake County test on Wednesday, January 11.
