Groves Falcons (Beverly Hills, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Walled Lake Central Vikings (Walled Lake, MI), 55-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Groves upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Falcons travel to Seaholm (Birmingham, MI) to play the Maples in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Maples go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Seaholm lost 68-53 in their recent league bout against Berkley (Berkley, MI)

Next up, the Vikings play the Milford Mavericks (Highland, MI) in a Lakes Valley bout, on Friday, January 6. Walled Lake Central will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Mavericks go into the bout with a 7-0 record after their 57-40 non-league win over DeWitt (DeWitt, MI).
