In Thursday's non-league outing, the James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA) basketball squad beat the visiting Liberty Eagles (Bealeton, VA), by a margin of 67-50.

The Yellow Jackets (5-3) will now prepare for their outing against Eastern View (Culpeper, VA). The Cyclones go into the Battlefield outing with a 4-3 record. In their last outing, Eastern View was topped by Massaponax (Spotsylvania, VA), 73-48, in a non-league outing.

The Eagles now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Millbrook for a Northwestern outing on Tuesday, January 3. Liberty will clash with a Pioneers squad coming off a 59-58 non-league loss to Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV). The Pioneers record now stands at 4-7.
