The Mt. Pleasant Vikings basketball team (Mt. Pleasant, PA), was overwhelmed 61-23 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Jeannette Jayhawks (Jeannette, PA)

The Jayhawks now possess a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Deer Lakes for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 3. Jeannette will battle a Lancers team coming off a 82-75 non-league loss to Avonworth (Pittsburgh, PA). The Lancers record now stands at 5-5.

The Vikings (1-9) will now prepare for their battle against Charleroi (Charleroi, PA). The Cougars come into the WPIAL 3A 4 battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Charleroi was overwhelmed by Ringgold (Monongahela, PA), 58-52, in a non-league battle.
