Florida High School Basketball - Ponte Vedra knocked off by Johnson

December 29, 2022: Ponte Vedra, FL 32081

The Johnson Atomsmashers basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Ponte Vedra Sharks to 60 in the Atomsmashers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Atomsmashers now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Beach for a AAA Region 3 contest on Friday, January 6. Johnson will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 46-42 non-league win over Hilton Head Prep (Hilton Head Island, SC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-1.

The Sharks (9-2) will now prepare for their contest against St. Andrew's (Savannah, GA). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 10-0 record. In their last contest, St. Andrew's ran past Augusta Prep Day (Augusta, GA), 72-28, in a non-league contest.
